Domeview is digital advertising for MIT's digital campus
Domeview points and pricing
One Domeview point gets you one ad on one display for one day. Your ad will be presented in rotation with several other ads during a given day. In order to post an ad on behalf of a group, your group needs to have enough points.
MIT ASA-recognized student groups
ASA-recognized groups can receive 15 free points this semester upon request, which is the equivalent of being able to post to all 5 of our displays for 3 days (or however else you'd like to use the points). Student groups can purchase additional points for $2/point during our promotional period. Prices subject to change.
MIT office and departments, and unrecognized student groups
MIT offices, departments and student groups not recognized by the ASA can purchase points for $2/point during our promotional period. Prices subject to change.
Non-MIT companies and groups
Non-MIT companies and groups can purchase points for $5/point during our promotional period. Prices subject to change. Advertisements from non-MIT groups must be targeted specifically at MIT community members (i.e. special MIT discounts or promotions, a recruiting event at MIT, etc.) Non-MIT groups will not have access to the self-service features on Domeview. All advertising will be personally coordinated through a Domeview manager.

Optimal display resolution and aesthetic standards
Ads submitted to Domeview should be formatted for the optimal display resolution of 1360 by 768 pixels. Please feel free to download one of our pre-formatted templates.
Also, Domeview has begun enforcing aesthetic standards to improve the overall quality of the system. This includes text size, color and contrast considerations. Keep in mind that most people will not stop to read a text-heavy ad, nor will they squint to read tiny text. If the critical elements of your ad cannot be read and processed in about 15 seconds, your ad probably needs revision. (Your ad will only run on the screen for 20 seconds at a time anyway, so yeah.) Also keep in mind that the quality of our system is a direct reflection of the quality of your ads.
As a general rule, if your critical text (such as the date and time of your event) isn't easily legible in a 100-pixel high thumbnail of your ad, your submission will not be accepted, your points will be refunded and you will have to resubmit.
